Foreclosures Decrease Again
Foreclosure activity throughout the United States decreased to an eight-year low in May, according to the latest report from RealtyTrac. It noted that 109,824 properties were at some stage of the foreclosure process in May, which was a five percent decline from April. The report added that foreclosure activity—including foreclosure notices, scheduled auctions and bank repossessions—was 26 percent below the year-ago level. May was the 44th consecutive month foreclosure activity was down on an annual basis.
